1-1/3 cups buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1-1/2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
Combine buttermilk and egg. Add dry ingredients and mix until blended. Next, add butter to mixture. Pour onto hot griddle; flip when bubbles begin to break and edges are done. Serve with warm maple syrup.
