2 Granny Smith apples
2 8-count containers crescent rolls
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cinnamon to taste
10 ounces Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and slice apples into 16 slices. Roll one apple into each crescent roll and place in a 13-by-9-inch baking dish.
Melt butter, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan over low heat. Do not caramelize; use just enough heat to melt the sugar. Pour mixture over rolls; sprinkle with cinnamon and pour Mountain Dew over the top of the rolls.
Bake for 30 minutes. Cover with foil and bake another 10 minutes.
